  • Senior adviser to VA Leadership managing a $484 billion housing portfolio.
  • Senior adviser to the Deputy Under Secretary of the Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) for Education Service in issuing $53 billion in Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits to more than 1.4 million individuals (detailed – 240 days).
  • Senior adviser on various high level policy decisions including the Specially Adapted Housing, Direct Loan and Loan Management manuals that govern program operation to Regional Loan Centers nation-wide, Congressional inquiries and oversight measures that govern and/or impact the operations of various VA benefit programs.
  • Relationship Manager - Conduct needs assessment on internal and external program stakeholders and serves as the front office change management agent that directs, tracks, and revises assignments, projects, and expectations.
  • Leads a team through the legislative build and review process. Assigns work, manages project schedule and resource allocation. Identifies and develops legislative proposals for Congressional review. Coordinates with legal, program, and budget professionals.
  • Data Management/Process Improvement Facilitator - Designed and developed a systematic approach for collecting, warehousing, and tracking data and program assignments. The outcome reduced employee learning curve saving roughly $40,000 in training dollars.
  • Designed and implemented a streamlined review system for the monthly Loan Guaranty Reconsideration reviews, as part of the Regional Office compliance audit process, resulting in reduced manual data entry and more than a 60 percent time savings.
  • Participates in the department-wide outreach group and engagement activities with stakeholders including, faith-based, Veteran Service Organizations and advocate groups.
  • Experienced Communicator – prepare and present oral and written briefings to senior leadership, Congressional staff and program offices.
  • Risk Manager – lead the risk identification and documentation process in the administration and oversight of Loan Guaranty in 2011.
